The Villa

Idyllic 19th century Italian style Villa resting on the hills above Golfe Juan with Panoramic sea views, stretching from Cap d’Antibes to Iles de Lerins, off the coast of Cannes.

Built as a summer house for a well known potter from Vallauris, this stunning villa soon became dilapidated until bought by Jean-Pierre & Elaine De Maria. Who through a labour of love, saw the potential for the property and spent the following 10 years renovating.

Not an ordinary villa but a home with history and soul, once alone on the hill. Today a relaxing haven, thanks to its large garden with dramatic palm trees, wood terraced swimming pool, pizza oven and private gated parking area.

Exploring the cote d’azur

The village of Golf Juan is 5-10 minutes walk from the Villa. There you can find shops with all that you need and including the train station, which takes you  to Cannes (one stop) and towards St Tropez and beyond in one direction and Nice (20 mins) Monaco and Italy in the other, with seaside views the entire way. Alternatively the beautiful pottery town of Vallauris is up the hill, with shops, cafe’s and restaurants including the Picasso museum. Picasso spent his later life in Vallauris sculpting and the town is rich with character.

Beautiful sandy beaches, the harbour and many good restaurants are within a 20 minute walk from the Villa.

The Villa has 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a sitting room with panoramic view over the bay and large kitchen dining room with french kitchen style solid wood dining table. A perfect place to unwind and dine either inside out of the sun or outside. You can pick from the numerous relaxing areas, beneath the palm trees, on the terrace, or evening cocktails below the stunning facade of the villa.   Relax on comfortable sofas, in front of the house or lounge on one of the sunbeds by the pool.
